TAMBA in partnership with the LTBMU Forest Service is looking to improve the existing trail conditions and establish a dedicated mountain bike focused connection to the Tyrolian Downhill Trail in Incline Village. TAMBA has contracted with Sensus RAD Trails to build nearly 2 miles of new sustainable singletrack trail while rehabilitating old logging roads to reduce erosion and improve lake clarity.
This project will connect the Tyrolian Downhill Trail to the Mount Rose Highway at Tahoe Meadows by providing an official starting trailhead, which would reduce mountain bike traffic on the Rim Trail as well as make a more sustainable connection further out on the Rim Trail itself to get rid of the unsanctioned user trail and improve signage.
Some sections of this new trail will incorporate mountain bike specific features including, rollovers, tabletops, step-ups, step-downs, and triple-option jumps. Check out the project maps below!
