Corral National Trail Day

June 3, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Riding Corral Jumps

Come help us fix on-going damage from the Caldor Fire on one of South Lake Tahoe’s most popular trails on National Trail Day. National Trail Day is an opportunity for us to stop, reflect and give thanks to the trails we use.

This year we will celebrating our trails by building a raised causeway to avoid saturated ground at the top of the Corral Jump line. This section of trail just above the Corral jump line has become saturated with moisture, due to the usual nearby plants and trees that would be soaking up the water nearby having burned in the Caldor Fire. This is making the trail muddy and hard to ride through.

We will be moving nearby downed trees to build a causeway to raise trail tread up out of the wet areas, protecting both our trail and the soil. We will need a lot of hands to help us move the trees and material for the causeway. All ages are welcome, and no prior trail building experience is necessary!

Lunch and drinks will be provided after by TAMBA!

Meet at the Corral Trail Head Parking lot for morning safety briefing. It will then be a 2 mile bike or hike to worksite.

Sign up for the trial day here.
