TAMBA PHOTO HIGHLIGHTS

  1. Friends stopped by to visit at the South Lake Tahoe Earth Day celebrations on April 24.
  2. We put 9 individuals through a new sawyer training thanks to instruction from Jacob Quinn with the LTBMU and support from the Tallac Hotshots. They’ll be helping us keep the trails clear when the trees come down!

Lake Tahoe Destination Stewardship Plan

Lake Tahoe residents, community members, and stakeholders interested in the responsible management of tourism and recreation are invited to take part in workshops next month to create a destination stewardship plan. The plan will balance the needs of Lake Tahoe’s environment, businesses, visitors, and local communities. This new shared strategy will inspire all to take care of Tahoe.

Recent Trail Work!

This spring, we’ve been focused on clearing down trees. In the last couple of weeks alone, our sawyers have cleared more than two-dozen trees from trails melting out. If you come across any while you’re out riding, let us know by shooting us an email at trails@tamba.org and include the location, approximate size of tree and a photo if possible.

Additionally, our paid crew has been fixing some remaining dozer damage from last year’s Caldor Fire suppression efforts around Angora Ridge.
