Every month, we’ll be highlighting a TAMBA Trail Legend – a volunteer, donor, or community partner who’s gone above and beyond to support TAMBA’s work. None of the awesome things we achieve would be possible without the Trail Legends who work with us.
This month, we’re celebrating industry pro and Tahoe Mountain Bike Festival mover-and-shaker, Patrick Gillick.
As a Sports LTD Manager extraordinaire and National Ski Patrol volunteer at Sierra-at-Tahoe, Patrick can fix any bike and fit any boot (and probably explain post-modernism at the same time). He’s father to Clover the shop dog, partner to the incredible Molly Novasel, and his love for Tahoe runs deeper than the lake itself – especially in the fall when he can watch the ‘Niners and cook up delicious food.
What we at TAMBA genuinely appreciate most about Patrick is his dedication to our organization and willingness to drop everything he’s doing to help in a pinch. He has been a pivotal contributor to the planning, execution, and success of the annual Tahoe Mountain Bike Festival Demo Day, and his industry relationships have been key assets in TAMBA’s success over the years.
“Patrick is knowledgeable, professional, and pragmatic in his approach to any situation,” says Jess Smith, TAMBA Board Chair. “I always appreciate Patrick’s dedication to his craft and knowledge of the industry. Not to mention, he rips on a bike and is a great time to be around! When you get a chance, ask him about his radio call name. ”
Thank you, Patrick, for all your contributions over the years to the Tahoe Mountain Bike Festival and the Tahoe mountain biking community! We at TAMBA are truly grateful for the expertise and passion you bring to all that you do.
