Have Your Say on the Future of Spooner Lake & Backcountry State Park!

Hey TAMBA members and outdoor enthusiasts! Nevada State Parks is working on a fresh Master Plan for Spooner Lake & Backcountry State Park — and they want your input.

Join the public workshop:
📅
Thursday, July 17
🕠 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Spooner Lake Visitor Center

At the workshop, park staff will share updates about the master plan, answer your questions, and ask for your ideas to help shape the park’s future. You’ll get to chat with planners, share your vision, and explore interactive materials to voice your thoughts.

Spooner Lake welcomes around 100,000 visitors each year. With 12,000+ acres, 60+ miles of trails, historic sites, and wildlife habitat, the goal is to find the right balance between recreation and preservation.

Can’t make it in person? No problem! You can also check out the online StoryMap and take the survey through Sunday, July 27:

Come share your voice — Nevada State Parks will use the input collected from the workshop and the online survey to help guide the development of the park master plan over the next year.
