THIS SUNDAY, September 25 – Fall Fundraiser

Join us at the Fall Fundraiser on Sunday from 4-8pm at the Nevada State 4-H Camp in Stateline, NV.

This family-friendly catered event is TAMBA’s largest fundraising event for the organization. Tickets can be purchased here, at $60 for adults and $30 for children 12 and under, and includes a TAMBA pint glass, food, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Starting at 4 p.m. attendees can learn more about TAMBA’s initiatives, bid on amazing auction items, check out the latest TAMBA gear, enjoy games on the lawn, and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a Specialized Stumpjumper Evo Expert.

At 7 p.m. TAMBA will be premiering a film by First Tracks Productions, “An Everest in Tahoe,” highlighting up-and-coming athlete Harrison Biehl’s successful attempt to ride 29,032 feet in elevation in less than 24 hours on the west shore’s Stanford Rock Trail.

Even if you can’t make it, you can bid on our online auction with items and experiences uniquely Tahoe, with proceeds going directly to our organization.

Saturday, October 8 – Corral Night Ride

The Corral Night Ride is a fabled gathering of hearty souls that stage a night ride with Halloween revelry each year.
This ride is FREE for all current TAMBA members as a way to say thank you for your support!
Costumes, bikes, friends, and fun! Come join TAMBA for a ridiculously fun night riding bikes at Corral Trail. Join us and all your closest silly mountain bike friends… it’s the best night of the year – if you like to ride in costume like a kid in the dark!

Friday, November 11 – Member and Volunteer Appreciation Party

Get ready to celebrate another great year of mountain biking and trail building with the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association!
We’ll be at Heavenly’s Cal Base Lodge with a pasta dinner, drinks, raffle prizes, swag, and membership drive.

Recent Trail Work!

While the smoke from the Mosquito Fires might have slowed down our trail work a bit over the last month, our volunteers and staff still got a lot done and the recent rains have energized us for a busy fall!

We’re getting close to 3,000 volunteer hours for the season and over the past month made great progress on the Kaspian Rim Trail, Road 73 Bypass, Lower Tyrolian Reroute and Christmas Valley Alternate Lines.

Just in the past couple weeks with the rains, we’ve been able to tune up the Corral and Tyrolian jumps and buff out some previously blown out turns in the Caldor Fire scar.

Upcoming Trail Days

We’re planning to keep the dig days going around the lake throughout the fall. Head on over to our events calendar for a complete list and to sign up!

October 15 – Tahoe City Community Volunteer Day. We are partnering with Tahoe XC for a fun community oriented trail day where we’ll be working on the Road 73 Bypass Project and the Orange Trail at the nordic center. We’ll be BBQing, having a free raffle and handing out swag.
September 22 (& more) – Meeks Ridge Trail Volunteer Day. This work day will be recurring through the Fall d etails here. Come join the fun and rebuild the Meeks Ridge Trail on the West Shore.
September 24 (& more) – Road 73 Bypass Trail Volunteer Day. Come help us on the Road 73 Bypass Trail above Tahoe City! Join us from 8:30am – 2:30pm as we work our way from the bottom of Stumpy Super G to the top of The Great Race Trail (Woop-dee-doo).
Tuneup Tuesday – Bijou Bike Park Join us each Tuesday evening at 6pm for some fun maintaining the bike park and then getting a ride in with friends…

Fall is upon us and local’s shoulder season is here in the Tahoe Basin! The recent rains have helped pack down and buff out our trails a bit, so enjoy the stellar riding conditions. Don’t be afraid to make some new friends by slowing down and saying hi to other trail users! Keep the positive stoke going out there!
