Thanks to a $14K grant from North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, cooperation from numerous land managers, and the hard work of volunteers, TAMBA is in the midst of a much needed project to sign trails from the West Shore to the Kings Beach area.  The signs will be predominantly on US Forest Service trails and roads that the Tahoe Rim Trail Association does not sign.  Volunteers (Sue Hughes, Scott Brown, Jeremy Benson, and Bob Christensen) installed the first signs in the vicinity of the Fiberboard Rd./FR 73 in the fall of 2018.  We expect to have the remainder of the grant funded signs and kiosks up by the end of 2019 – with signage for Stanford Rock Trail and more Tahoe City area trails.  The grant also provides for the creation of trail maps for distribution by local businesses and organizations.

Volunteers are needed to assist in sign installation this summer and fall.  If you are interested in helping out contact Sue Hughes at Sue@TAMBA.org.
