Event Series Event Series: Stumpy Trail Work

Stumpy Trail Work

September 5, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service LTBMU, TAMBA will be replacing the old, steep, eroded logging road, know as Stumpy DH, with a fast, flowy Stumpy SG singletrack. The trail will incorporate rolls, G-outs, and rhythm sections, all while managing water runoff, erosion, and long-term sustainability. Stumpy SG will continue to improve the trail system in and around the popular Burton Creek State Park/Tahoe XC region, much like the new Lakeview Ridge and Ocelot trails have done the past two years.

When: 10/11, 10/17
Where: Meet at the Tahoe City Public Utility District parking lot at 221 Fairway Drive in Tahoe City

When: Meet at 8:30 a.m. or ride to the top of the old Stumpy DH trail and find the crews any time during the day. Trail work will continue until 4pm, but folks are welcome to depart earlier if desired.

What to bring: Personal protection equipment, long pants, long-sleeve shirt, helmet (bike helmet is fine), gloves (full finger gloves are best), eye protection (riding/sunglasses are okay), water, snacks, lunch if you’re staying all day

If you RSVP at least 24 hours  prior to each trail day we’ll provide lunch for those working more than a few hours. To RSVP or for further information email the Project Leader, John Clausen, at johnnyxride@gmail.com
