Please join us on Saturday, June 24th to commemorate the 10 Year Anniversary of the devastating Angora Ridge wildfire that destroyed 242 residences. We will build a trail along Angora Ridge that will connect Tahoe Mountain communities with Angora Lakes (trail #2 in the map below). This trail will provide epic views of Fallen Leaf Lake and provide multi-user trail access to Angora Ridge. Then on Sunday, June 25th, Meyers will celebrate the resilience of its community with a party at Tahoe Paradise Park, 10 to 3, at 1011 San Bernardino Ave.
Trail Work Details:
Where: Angora Ridge Rd. We will work from the lookout tower down the ridge toward Tahoe Mountain Road. Look for the TAMBA tent on the left (east) side of the road approximately 1 mile up Angora Ridge Rd. Parking is very limited, but is available at several pullouts along the road up to the lookout. Please carpool or ride to the work site.
When: 9am to 3pm, 24 June
Conditions: The work location is mostly shaded, but it will be hot and mosquitoes will be an issue.
What to bring: Plenty of water, sunscreen, bug repellent, long sleeves, long pants, eye protection, gloves, helmet, and sturdy shoes. Bike helmets and bike shoes are acceptable.
What TAMBA will provide: Food…morning snacks, lunch, water, sports drinks, and beer (at the end of the day). We will provide tools.
Dogs?: Dogs are welcome, but we will be working near an active road and there is no water available.
